Interior design and construction of the Mint of Poland’s company’s store
Design and construction of a store for the Mint of Poland at Wawel Royal Castle.
A store design project for the Mint of Poland in a prestigious location at Wawel Royal Castle.
The design was to emphasise the values of the Mint of Poland and clearly communicate the most frequently sold products, such as coins and gold bars. Supervised by the conservator of monuments, the design and construction had to meet the highest quality standards, and the applied work methods had to guarantee the protection of the historic interior against permanent damage. Hence the use of furniture and simple suspended components, such as curtains and lightweight Barrisol ceiling. No changes or permanent fixing of components to the floor were allowed. For the coin display purposes, we came up with an innovative system of coin fixing, with flocked upholstery cloth in green and specially made decorative black needles.
